Laughter Meditation
Baan Gita is a Small Wellbeing Guesthouse in Chiang Rai, where warm hospitality, morning reset practice, reflective reading, and simple living come together.
Baan Gita is the home and living workspace of Kay Wararuk — an author, TEDx speaker, and Laughter Yoga Master Trainer whose long-term writing project is Letters from Maitreya: Decoding the Human Cosmos.
At Baan Gita, Kay’s work is no longer about creating large movements or busy programs. It is about holding a quiet, human space where hospitality, writing, morning practice, laughter, and meaningful connection can meet naturally.
Through Baan Gita, she welcomes travelers, readers, retreat guests, and small groups who wish to slow down, breathe, reflect, and experience a gentler rhythm of life in Chiang Rai.
This small private home is created as a calm oasis in the heart of the city — a place to rest, read, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover peace within ordinary daily life.
Each morning at 07:30, in-house guests may request a simple Morning Practice with Kay, subject to her availability. The session may include gentle breathwork, Sivananda-inspired yoga, Laughter Yoga, quiet reflection, and selected readings from Letters from Maitreya.
To preserve the privacy and peaceful atmosphere of our home, Morning Practice is available only for guests staying at Baan Gita.
There is no fixed class fee. Instead, guests are invited to support Kay’s lifelong writing project by purchasing one of her books on Amazon or making a voluntary contribution.
As Kay sometimes travels for writing, teaching, and research, sessions must be requested in advance. Please contact us by WhatsApp before your stay if you would like to join the Morning Practice.
This room at Baan Gita sits around 17 degrees north.
Our Mission
In classical feng shui, this belongs to a very refined northern direction — a quality often associated with stillness, depth, and restoration.
We do not see this as something overly mystical. But many guests seem to feel calmer here.
Baan Gita is simply a small home created with care — a place where the body can soften, the mind can slow down, and people can return to themselves quietly.
